How to Brew Sencha Tea

Equipments:

  1. Tea Pot (Kyusu)
  2. Tea Cup (Yunomi) or mug
  3. Teaspoon

Ingredients:

  1. 3g Sencha Green Tea Loose Leaf (1 teaspoonful)
  2. 90ml boiled & cooled water (80-90C)

Instructions:

  1. Boil and cool the water to about 80-90C.
  2. Add 3g of Sencha Green Tea into a teapot.
  3. Pour 90ml hot water into the pot.
  4. Let it steep for 1 min. Feel free to wait for longer if you wish to get stronger flavour.
  5. Pour the tea into a teacup or a mug.

Notes:
The first brew has the natural aroma and sweetness from sencha green tea. If you decide to make the second or third brew, steep the tea with 5-10 degrees higher water temperarture and shorten the steeping time. The high quality sencha green tea can be used for three infusions.
